Scope and Importance of Agril.Soil Science

The science dealing with soil as a natural resource on the surface of the earth, including Pedology and the physical, chemical and biological and fertility properties of soil and these properties in relation to their management for crop production.

Soil science and agricultural chemistry is the branch of agriculture that involves

  1. The study of soil, as growing media for plants.
  1. Management of soil for better crop production.
  1. Analysis of soil, water, plant and fertilizer with recommendation for judicious use
